For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
I knew it was not right of me to have envious thoughts and jealousy on how easy it was for others to have children. But when some mums share with me on how it was a one-time-jackpot kinda thing, my heart – at that moment – was definitely not a pretty sight.
If it was not for God’s Word that constantly pointed me back to His Truth of how there is always more than enough blessings to go around for everyone, I would have been stuck in the envy-mode for a long, long time. And it would have created a very unhappy me.
On 2 June 2014, I received a text from my cousin, asking if I would like her brand new baby cot. I was surprised, but decided to receive it in faith. I was actually quite excited too! I told Bren that if God provides us with a baby cot, it must mean that we will be needing it in the future!
God is faithful, and even when our sinful hearts harbour ungodly thoughts, He lovingly guides us and provides His grace. I’m so thankful. 🙂
