Kirsty from KirstyDee nominated me to take part in The Christmas Tag post, and it sounded like fun, so here you go! 🙂

What’s your favourite Christmas movie?
Hands down, it has to be “While You Were Sleeping“. I love Sandra Bullock and that movie just makes me tear with so much adorable family love! I just watched it again this afternoon with Bren (& yummy cupcakes!) – it is now part of our little tradition.
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Sadly, no. It would be fun someday…possibly with Ellie too. 🙂
Where do you usually spend your holidays?
We are usually in Singapore for the holidays. We try to spend the time with family and friends over meals, and just catch up.
What is your favourite Christmas song?
I have quite a few that I love, and this simple song is one of those. 🙂 This is truly a time to love with the love of God.
And this is another song I love that reminds me of the reason we get to celebrate Christmas. 🙂
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
I open them almost as soon as I receive them! Haha. I used to open them, and then put them back into the boxes, and open them all up again on Christmas. I know, it’s strange. 🙂
Can you name all of Santa’s reindeers?
Not at all! I didn’t even know they had names! Oops.
Which holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
I love looking at Christmas lights and taking family pictures in town, with all the beautifully decorated trees. It’s the simple things. 🙂
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Fake! Haha. We intend to get a real one next year when Ellie is old enough to admire it a bit more. But for now, this will have to do.
What is your favourite holiday sweet/treat/food?
I love all types of Christmas cookies this time of year. Little indulgences!
Be honest, do you prefer giving or receiving gifts?
I love to give, and to receive too! I guess it’s both. 🙂
What is the best Christmas present you have ever received?
Honestly, Ellie is the best present. 🙂 She has brought us so much joy, and the long wait was worth it.
(you can read more about our infertility journey HERE.)
What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
I would love to go to Japan or Paris (again)! Loved both these places the last time we visited, so it would be special to go back. 🙂
Are you a pro wrapper or do you fail miserably?
Fail miserably, unfortunately. 🙁 I do try! Anyway, that is why I love gift bags. So much easier!
Most memorable Christmas moment?
My favourite memory has to be when my siblings and I were small, and we knew when exactly our parents would go hide our Christmas gifts on Christmas Eve. So once we were sure that they were back in their rooms, we would sneak out to open our presents, laugh as quietly as possible, put the gifts back into their wrappers (ahem. see a trend here??), then happily go back to sleep.
Ahh, childhood. 🙂
What made you realise the truth about Santa?
I was never told that Santa was in any way real, so this was not an issue. 🙂 I just figured he was just one of those characters that were associated with Christmas, like a mascot of sorts.
What makes the holidays special for you?
The gathering of family, and feeling the love from one another. It is always about love – God’s love. 🙂
//If anyone else wants to do this tag, please go ahead! It has been lovely.
Blessed Christmas everyone!
