Do you have days when you feel overwhelmed and discouraged by the enormity of the responsibility of motherhood? Do you sometimes wish you had a friend who said, “Me too.” to your struggles and feelings of inadequacy and stress?
Well, welcome to Snugglesandkisses. 🙂 A place where you can comfortably be yourself, and find encouragement and practical help for your homemaking.
I am Jacinta, a stay-home mama to one sweet miracle, and a wife to a smart and responsible husband who works really hard to provide for our little family.
We went through a difficult season of infertility before finally hearing the words, “Congrats, you are pregnant!” and we cannot be more grateful for this little bundle of joy. Though the 5 years wait was intense and very challenging, it brought us closer to each other and to God. Having gone through a failed IVF procedure in 2014, my heart goes out to those who are waiting for their own miracle too. (Read my infertility story HERE.)
I am passionate about writing on my faith in Jesus, the beauty of motherhood and the joy of homemaking, and I hope to create a safe and loving place for every reader to be encouraged in their own life-path. I pray that you will never feel alone in your struggles, for we were never made to walk this path on our own!
Before I became a stay-home mama, I was working in the social service line with a focus on helping the less-privileged children. These precious souls were like family to me and working hard to making sure that their lives improved was my one big goal. Throughout my 10 years of experience in molding these hearts, I have learned many lessons, and one of which is that every child is special in their own way, and we need to make a sincere effort to enter their world and see things from their perspective. For it is only when they truly feel connected to you that they are able to receive any advice or input. It was a very humbling process, and I believe that it was also part of God’s preparation for my current season of motherhood.
Being a mother has been an incredibly eye-opening journey, and day after day, my heart gets a glimpse of a deeper understanding of what unconditional love is. Friend, if we love our children so much, can you imagine how much more our Creator loves us as His precious ones?
In my current season of caring for an active toddler, my days can be easily consumed with the daily mundane tasks of cooking, cleaning, and teaching (and a constant desire for more caffeine!). If I am not careful in managing my time, the laundry pile will be sky-high and there may not be enough clean dishes to go around when dinner-time comes along!
That is why creating order in my day is always a priority for me, regardless of the type of season I am in. I love planning and organizing, am all about structure and routines, and just having the opportunity to cultivate a warm and loving environment for my family is a huge reward in itself.
I also believe that homemaking is a calling for every woman, yet managing a home is no easy feat. I am on a learning journey too and daily rely on the strength of God to see me through.
So Sweet Friends, if you want to join me in creating order and loveliness in your homemaking journey, and want to receive a regular dose of encouragement in your inbox, subscribe to my blog so that you do not miss a thing!
I am so glad to have you here, and I pray that you will be deeply blessed! ❤️
